Dr Anna Fischer : Space Mom
Truly inspiring to meet and listen to Anna Fisher yesterday.
She is an astronaut, a chemist and an emergency physician. She has logged almost 200 hours of space flight.
When she took off in November of 1984 aboard Discovery, she became, not only one of the very first women in space, but the first mother in space, as she had a young daughter waiting for her return on earth.
She certainly had a story to tell; and the audience listened.
This photo of her some 35 years ago seems to tell us how fleeting time is and how precious it is to make it count.
